Colchester Academy will provide exciting and challenging academic, vocational and social learning opportunities. It will prepare students for a rapidly changing world and promote a philosophy of lifelong learning that they will maintain into adulthood. All students will be nurtured, motivated and encouraged to be the best they can be. In so doing we will raise our students’ achievement substantially through transforming how they learn.

We believe that a key part of raising aspirations comes from raising self-esteem, self-confidence and self-respect and that this reinforced by excellent support systems will enable the Academy to create an environment in which all students feel cared for, valued, known and a sense of belonging. Students will develop an awareness of their own talents, an appreciation of the roles and contribution of others and of the importance of collaboration, teamwork and leadership.

Colchester Academy will also play a key role in supporting community cohesion.
